If you are not using an original engine/gauge we recommend that you consider aftermarket or our reproduction gauge/sending unit kit.
If 12 volt use 1956 style even in 53-55 or use electronic volt reducer with 6v sender.

THREAD MEASURES 5/8" BUT IS CONSIDERED 1/2" PIPE THREAD
GAUGE RESTS ON HOT (ignition off) TURN IGN ON GOES TO COLD
flathead v8, use one single post & one double post, only available 6v if flathead is 12v use electronic volt reducer. self resetting when cooled to 120.
fits 57-60 and 48-52 also T-birds, fits flat heads, 239-272-292-312 etc. all Y-blocks
Using thread sealant on electrical senders could cause added resistance to ground which will make the gauges read lower than actual. Loctite makes an anti-seize called Graphite 50 that is electrically conductive. If you feel the temperature or oil pressure sender needs to be sealed, Loctite Graphite 50 would be an ideal choice of sealant since it will not add resistance to the sender ground.
