1956 Original 12V gauges (and the new exact of original reproductions) are NOT suited for use with our modern reproduction senders at 12V. These are designed for use with original sender only. If you don't have a good original sender then we recommend using our parts 2694-56 modern reproduction gauge with our 2697 sender. This gauge OR an original gauge will work with our 1607-56 sender Yes this very original bi-metal gauge is designed for 12V but only with an original bi-metal "pulse" sender. Correct reproductions of those are not available at this time.
