Fan Switch, By Engine Temp With Wiring (195) Fuel Injected Engines

Fits: 1948-79 Ford F-100 Trucks (Each truck takes 1)

Part Number: 5038-195

Sorry, this item is no longer available. See notes and alternate parts below.

ELECTRIC FAN TEMP SENSOR & WIRING KIT   on at 205 off at 195

includes wire harness, engine block or intake mounted sensor, fan relay, fuse and connectors. FOR FUEL INJECTED ENGINES which run at 195 instead of 185 degrees.

This kit operates on radiator temp, if you have AC he needs 5037.  CAUTION IF USING AC SEE 5037, If switch for radiator temp only is used it will allow heat to build up in the condenser, then heat is transferred to radiator as water flows.  the radiator sensor will not turn fan on until that heat is felt in radiator, letting extra heat build up in condenser so AC system pressure can get higher and the passenger vent temperatures warmer.

Do not put over 3 amps to it will blow. only takes 1/4 amp to trip relay

Using thread sealant on electrical senders cou ld cause added resistance to ground which will make the gauges read lower than actual.  Loctite makes an anti-seize called Graphite 50 that is electrically conductive. If you feel the temperature or oil pressure sender needs to be sealed, Loctite Graphite 50 would be an ideal choice of sealant since it will not add resistance to the sender ground.

This harness and sensor turns the fan on at 205 degrees, and off at 195 degrees.

Wire Harness Kit Features:

  • Heavy Duty 12 & 14 Gauge Wire
  • 30 Amp Relay & Socket.
  • Weatherproof Fuse Holder
  • Fully Labeled at Connectors
