Vent Glass Dark, 5355 

DOUBLE DARK GLASS:
Also called Limo dark or Privacy glass. We call this double dark to describe the color as it is approximately twice as dark as standard smoke. Regular smoke glass has a 44% light penetration, meaning 44% of the light gets through. Double Dark is 20% to 15%, meaning only 20% to 15% of the light gets through. Our 53-55 curved glass is 15% and our flat glass is 20%. This is not really noticeable with the human eye and requires testing to determine. The difference is because the glass used in molding the curve is a slightly different type than the type used for flat glass.

1956 SOLID SIDE: sharper curve goes toward the hinge side of door, gentle curve toward the latch side of door, glass is 18" tall on hinge (where vents used to be) and 17 3/4" on latch side.
Glass is just a hair under 1/4" thick (1/4" was original) This is to make the operation easier going up and down, it is .233 instead of .250. All our glass is tempered.
